You've conquered the original F**k. The Game. You know your colours from your swear words, you've slapped the pile until your hands hurt, and your friends still can't say a swear word in the wrong colour without freezing up. Good. Now it's time to weaponise your inside jokes.

The DIY Deck Expansion Pack puts you in the driver's seat. Scratch off the top layer, scribble down your own words, pictures, names, or whatever chaos your group can dream up, and toss them into the original deck. Same Stroop Effect brain-melt. Same rules. But now the words are yours.

How It Works

Step 1. Take a scratch card. Scratch away the top layer to reveal the blank canvas underneath (either a bold contrasting colour or solid black).

Step 2. Write or draw anything. A word, a name, a picture, an inside joke.

Step 3. Shuffle your custom cards into your original FTG deck. The card backs match so nobody knows what's coming.

Step 4. Play as normal. The Stroop Effect doesn't care if the word is printed or hand-scratched. Your brain will still short-circuit.

Scratch tip: If your scratch feels tough, sharpen the pen tip with a pencil sharpener or use the back of the pen. One batch has a little extra varnish — you'll work it out.

Why It Hits Different

The original FTG works because the Stroop Effect makes your brain trip over itself. The DIY Deck adds a personal grudge.

When the card says a printed swear word, that's universal brain-flinch. When the card says your best mate's name and they're sitting right across from you, the whole table loses it. Personal relevance amplifies the Stroop Effect. Your brain has to override not just the colour-word conflict but the emotional weight of the word itself.
